RE: Frontier RV Explorer...thumbs up/down?

The DW and I have had our 2004 Explorer T250 for about 2 ½ years now and we still love it. The only real problem that we have had was that when I was replacing the fresh water fill hose I found that 3 of the 4 welds that hold the freshwater tank had broken. That was before the first trip this year. I beefed up the angle iron that holds the tank and alls well now. We do not carry water when traveling. Other than that we love the layout and for the price it well worth the money. We also replace the camper mattress with a standard queen size with a 4 inch memory foam topper. I removed the booth and up in a round table with chairs.
Two thumbs UP and two from the DW also.

RE: old silicone removal

I use WD-40 to remove the silicone. Use a plastic scraper to remove what you can then spray with WD-40. Also works for for removing decals.

RE: Storing the blue holding tank when traveling??

We may not use the tote very often but I like to have it with us and out of sight. It stores very nicely under the trailer.

RE: 30 Amp trailer plugged into 50 amp service

Yes there is an advantage to using the 30 to 50 adapter. Some of the camp sites that we use the 30 amp will pop when using the A/C and the elect hot water heater. By using the 50 amp there are no problems. It must be that the 30 amp breakers are weak and will not carry the load. By using the 50 amp adapter nothing in the camper will need to be changed. At home I use the 30 amp plug and everything is fine.
